In 2001 there was a box of VHS tapes that were labeled with negative words like "war" and "hate" just sitting outside at Michigan State University's campus... and on the tapes was the "film that killed people" in The Ring, and a web address was at the end.

I am really intrigued by this form of viral marketing, and I was wondering if anyone else found/knew of any other movies that did this? And what the items were?
