Was this Dell a good buy for inspiron 1525?

Hmm thats a tricky question.
The T5550 is an early core 2 duo processor, for that price i would have expected a newer one (7,8, or 9 thousand series)
4 gig of ram is nice, but that does mean that your running vista 64 bit, which isn't as compatible with devices as vista 32 bit is.
Display is standard, resolution could be better, but that is what i have on my 15.4 incher, and its fine.
Hard drive is good, very good.
Blue ray drive is a pricey feature man. expecailly on a notebook this size, your not getting the full 1080p resolution out of it. But i guess it does have a hdmi out so you could hook it up to a hdtv.
the one thing that you don't mention is a graphics card, im pretty sure it has the intel integrated, which is fine, but if your doing any gaming its going to be pretty bad, and also the blue ray playback might not be as good.
Overall You did alright, its taken me 2 years of research to know what i know, the blue ray is a pricey option, but if i had to value the computer before hearing what u payed, i would put it around 1,050-1,000. hope that helps
